Guardian Saints recently conducted a survey to gather data to establish opinion, policy and practice with regard to online safety for Looked After Children.
The survey was sent to both Local Authorities and Independent Foster Care Agencies. All responses were treated confidentially and have been used to compile a statistical report, together with relevant commentary, which we believe will be helpful on a comparative basis for those organisations responsible for safeguarding Looked After Children.
Initially, the report was provided to those organisations who participated in the survey We know from feedback received, they have found it useful in gauging their approach in this area and taking remedial action, where it was deemed appropriate.
Samples of some of the data collected are shown here - on the right.
Given that further guidance from Ofsted in this area is due in the coming months, we felt it would be appropriate to make the report more widely available.
