Guardian Saints Safer Internet Day 2018 Prize Draw - Winners announced.
To support Safer Internet Day 2018, Guardian Saints held a prize draw, which was open to children and young people in care.
To enter the draw, they needed to answer a series of short questions facilitated by SmartSurvey that asked about how they use the Internet, what they think is good about it and what they don’t like about the online world.
The prize draw took place at the Blurring Boundaries conference held on 6th February 2018, at the University of Suffolk to mark Safer Internet Day.
The draw was kindly made by Professor Emma Bond, Director of Research at the University of Suffolk. Guardian Saints is grateful to Professor Bond for her support of the work we are doing to make the Internet a safer place for children in care.
Professor Bond said:
“The University of Suffolk is very proud to be supporting the work of Guardian Saints. This is vitally important issue which has been overlooked for too long.”

Guardian Saints lobbies Government, Internet Service Providers and Internet Presences to make changes that will make the Internet a safer place for all young people, but especially for the often vulnerable children in care. Since we are continually being told that there is not enough evidence to support the changes we are seeking, the results collected in this survey will be reviewed and used to further help us support fostering services, fostering agencies and foster carers to cope with the challenges that new technology presents.
